SkiHome is registered in the province of British Columbia with the Homeowner Protection Office and covered by National Home Warranty.

National Home Warranty is backed by one of Canada's largest insurance companies, serving close to 3 million customers.

SkiHome is also a member of the  Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA) and the Independent Contractors and Business Association (ICBA), all of which provide courses in all areas of residential construction, which are mandatory to maintain licensing with BC Housing.

SkiHome staff are enrolled regularly in education programs and seminars provided by Canadian Home Builder's Association, the Homeowner Protection Office and the Independent Contractors and Business Association.  Building code and construction materials technology changes require constant upgrading by practitioners in order to provide the best product for the consumer. 

Home warranty insurance in British Columbia provides two years coverage for defects in materials and workmanship, five years coverage for defects in the building envelope, including defects resulting in water penetration, and ten years coverage on structural defects.

Renovations to existing homes are warrantied against defects in materials and workmanship by SkiHome for one year from completion.
